What Is the New American Home Style?

The New American style is best understood as a synthesis — a home that takes the character and warmth of traditional American architecture and applies it to the way people actually live today.

On the outside, New American homes are characterized by bold, asymmetrical facades — strong rooflines, deep covered porches, and a layered combination of exterior materials that create visual richness and genuine curb appeal. Stone veneer, painted brick, wood shake roofing, stucco, natural pine cladding, and metal roofing accents are the material vocabulary of the style, and our designs use them with care and intention rather than applying them arbitrarily.

On the inside, the New American home is thoroughly modern in its organization: open-concept living areas with seamless flow between kitchen, dining, and great room spaces; two-story foyers; elegant staircases; and cathedral ceilings that create dramatic sightlines and architectural interest.
