Born and raised in Winston-Salem, Brent grew up in the building business and learned to be "hands-on" at an early age from his father, who has been a respected builder in Winston for over 45 years. Working summers for his dad during high school, Brent became fascinated with the design process of residential home construction and started taking architectural drafting classes which continued at NC State University. After college, he joined the crew at Vertical in Raleigh to help build one of the largest and most successful skate and snowboard shops in the south east. It was here that Brent gained valuable experience with customer relationships, communication, service, and marketing. Brent moved back to Winston in 2003 to work full time in the family business and has been a licensed General Contractor since 2006. Brent is still hands-on with every project he builds, from the design to the last piece of finish hardware, and specializes in custom built-in cabinetry and trim work.

When he is not building or designing homes, Brent can be found spending time with his wife Shelia and three kids; Milo, Madeline, and Finn.  He enjoys hiking, camping and is an assistant coach for the NC Interscholastic mountain bike team the Forsyth County Composite Psycho Squirrels.
